Overview
Power Tools are plugins based on custom solutions for Moodle LMS and Workplace that are available in a subscription service that ensures regular maintenance and upgrade support. If you have any questions or would like to request a Power Tools subscription, please submit a ticket to our Help Desk.
Usage
Other Course Activity is a custom tool that allows a teacher to add activity restriction across courses. Activities in one course can now be restricted until activities from another course are completed.
The following steps showcase how to use this tool. Navigate to an activity in a course and click on the settings for that activity. Scroll down to ‘Restrict Access' and click ‘Add restriction’. A pop-up will appear with an additional button labeled ‘Other course activity’. Click on the button 'Other course activity’.
Once clicked, the following four dropdown options will appear:
- Select category
- Select course
- Select activity
- Required completion status
Select the desired fields from dropdowns, scroll down and click 'Save and return to course'.
Once back on the course page you should see a lock icon under the activity and a message saying: “Not available unless: You must complete activity ‘Activity’ from course 'Course'“.
Activity restriction now functions across different courses.
