Usage
Course Reset is a custom administrative tool that allows a user with the capability (tool/coursereset:resetusercourse) to reset/delete all the records of Activity Attempts, Activity Completions, Course Completions & Grade Book grades that are linked to the selected user from the current course.
The following steps showcase how to use this tool. From a course, go to "Course Reset".
NOTE: This menu option may be found in a different menu location, such as behind the gear icon at the top-right of a course, based upon your version of Moodle and/or your theme.
Once clicked, you will be redirected to the following page with an autocomplete dropdown that lists all the participants in the course you are in. You may also start to type in the name of the identified user and a shorter list will populate. Select a user from the dropdown and click 'Reset'.
NOTE: Once you click reset all the records of Activity Attempts, Activity Completions, Course Completions & Grade Book grades that are linked to the selected user will be DELETED.
Once clicked, the page will reload with the message: “Course has been Reset successfully for 'user full name'“
To confirm your actions have synced, go to Grades and see that the records of Activity Attempts, Activity Completions, Course Completions & Grade Book grades that are linked to the selected user no longer exist.
